Today is my first restaurant review blog post since starting mealswithmark.com. I wanted my first restaurant piece to be about an up and coming new fast food concept sweeping across the world and I absolutely love the concept and the food which is amazing! Wok to Walk . It’s new to the United States, which so far it only has 5 locations: three in New York and two in New Jersey! So if your in the New York/New Jersey area and need a quick bite this is a must try! It’s currently in 15 countries across the world! Simple concept: it’s a quick service restaurant chain that specializes in Asian food, stir-frying, and wok cooking! It’s simple and wok to walk can explain it in four words: fresh, nutritious, quick, and flexible! It’s a 3 step menu which they display there ingredients on the front counter for all to see the freshness and the great quality! You can make whatever combination you are in the mood for, no matter if your vegetarian, vegan, or a meat lover like me!the three steps -are base, favorites, and sauce!
Once you placed your order, it’s cooked in 5 minutes and it’s made fresh and made to order! It is stir fried in a fiery Asian cooking show. It’s fun and entertaining to watch! Definitely an experience while you wait for your Asian food fix.
For the base: egg noodles, while wheat noodles, rice noodles, udon noodles, jasmine rice, while grain rice (all comes with veggies and egg-can you say yum!). There is also a veggie base all veggies no noodles!
For mix ins (favorites) just to name some:
Chicken, beef, pork, tofu, shrimp, salmon, mushrooms, broccoli, bok Choy, pineapple, cashews, and many more to choice from!
Sauces: teriyaki, oyster sauce, sweet and sour, peanut sauce, coconut curry and more!
When I attended Wok to Walk I got the egg noodles, chicken, and teriyaki and it was fresh, delicious, and satisfying and only cost $8! However beware: the more favorites you add the higher the cost!
It’s not the Wok, it’s the fire! Not only is the high flames and the wokists moves entertaining, by them shaking it constantly they need less oil. They are not only entertaining you by the dance moves but with those moves they are keeping every vitamin, mineral, and fiber in the dish!
Wok to Walk gets Meals with Mark’s approval and #1 for best new fast food concept!
