Deep Fried Chicken Wings
Nothing beats southern comfort home cooking! If you are a healthy eater, this recipe would have to be on your cheat day! Whenever I have a cheat day, my go to meal is definitely fried chicken wings. This recipe is not only beyond easy, but also mouthwatering delicious! Nothing beats it! This recipe originated from my mom, but with my own added twist too it! I like mine spicy, so I add a little extra kick to my fried chicken wings! Hope these wings satisfy you as much as they satisfy me!
2 packages of Perdue chicken wings
White distilled vinegar
Lend hot wing sauce (optional)
Canola oil for fryer (this is key for crispness)
Marinate wings in a large sealable bowl with salt, pepper, garlic powder, sazon and a generous amount of distilled vinegar
(If at all possible marinate overnight, if not at least marinate for as long as you can! The longer the better). Also you can add some franks hot wing sauce if you want your wings to have a little kick! That’s how I like them!
Preheat on low to medium heat a deep fryer or a wok frying pan (which I use) with enough canola oil to cover the wings!
Take wings and dredge them in flour (you can also substitute for a gluten free flour for those allergic to gluten)!
Fry wings in batches until they are a crisp golden color as pictured above! Want to make sure the oil is not too hot medium to low so the chicken is perfect crispness and is cooked in the middle!
When first batch is done, drain using a slotted metal Wok spoon and transfer to a plate lined with paper towel for grease to drain and wings to cool!
Repeat until all the chicken is done!!!
