Green Goddess Dip
If you’re like me, you’re the type of person that loves to have family and friends over and host parties. I love to plan parties, but my favorite part is making all the yummy food for my guests and have them loving the food and asking me for recipes. So I am always on the lookout for amazing recipes to serve guests at my parties. I love anything that you can dip foods in! I came across this out of this world green goddess dip by my fav Ina Garten, it’s so rich and creamy, you will be licking the bowl clean. It’s great for dipping fresh veggies or grilled shrimp or both! I prefer just the veggies!
1 cup good mayonnaise
1 cup chopped scallions, white and green parts (6 to 7 scallions)
1 cup chopped basil leaves (18 to 20 leaves)
1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
2 cloves garlic
2 teaspoons anchovy paste
2 teaspoons kosher salt
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 cup sour cream
For the dressing, place the mayonnaise, scallions, basil, lemon juice, garlic, anchovy paste, salt, and pepper in a blender and blend until smooth. Add the sour cream and process just until blended. Use immediately or refrigerate until ready to use.
*To Dip in this Amazing dip I do an assortment of fresh veggies such as carrots, celery sticks, cucumber sticks, and assorted colored peppers! Enjoy this amazing dip! The hit at every party!
